Say hi to Soldier from Sarasota County Animal Services! This playful boy, who came in as a stray without a microchip or collar, was never claimed, and after the mandatory hold time, he was released for adoption. Although he was heartworm positive, Soldier is being treated now, thanks to ARC’s Emergency Management Fund.

Affectionately referred to by SCAS staff as “The Goofball,” Soldier loves his impressive collection of toys, especially his ball. Although his exercise is limited during his heartworm treatment, he loves to chase the ball, and will someday learn to bring it back!

Soldier’s past may be a mystery, but his future is assured; he has been adopted and is now the much-loved member of a family.
